Is Being Tall Bad For Powerlifting?
Being tall is not inherently bad for powerlifting. However, to be the most competitive, you must fill out your frame with as much muscle mass as possible within the constraints of your weight class. Most of the top powerlifters in their weight class are on the shorter end in comparison to their competitors, as they have been able to fill out their frames with more muscle tissue than the competition. More muscle mass allows for more muscle to build strength.
