Wichita’s #1 Physical Therapy Clinic
Tim Swanson, PT, DPT, is a licensed physical therapist at Wichita Physical Therapy Group's West Wichita clinic. With more than 15 years of experience in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, Tim helps patients recover from injury, restore movement, improve performance, and return to the activities that matter most to them.
What originally drew Tim to physical therapy was his fascination with the human musculoskeletal system and the body's ability to coordinate complex movement.
That interest continues to shape his approach today. Tim especially enjoys helping patients understand their bodies, regain confidence in movement, and return to activities that pain or injury had previously limited.
Undergraduate studies at Wichita State University with an emphasis in chemistry.
Earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Wichita State University in 2010.
Tim has pursued continuing education in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports rehabilitation, movement science, manual therapy, spinal manipulation, and rehabilitation of the upper and lower extremities.
Advanced continuing education focused on athletic training, rehabilitation, movement, and physical performance.
Tim combines hands-on treatment, individualized exercise, movement assessment, and patient education to address the specific limitations affecting each patient's movement and function.
Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all protocol, treatment progresses around the patient's condition, physical demands, abilities, and goals.
